Excellence ...

A gentleman was once visiting a temple under construction. In the temple premises, he saw a sculptor making an idol of God.Suddenly he saw, just a few meters away, another identical idol was lying.Surprised he asked the sculptor, do you need two statutes of the same idol. Nosaid the sculptor.

We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage. The gentleman examined the statue. No apparent damage was visible.Where the damage is .. Asked the gentleman.

There is a scratch on the nose of the idol.Where are you going to keep the idol? The sculptor replied that it will be installed on a pillar 20 feet high. When the idol will be 20 feet away from the eyes of the beholder, who is goingto know that there is scratch on the nose? The gentleman asked.

The sculptor looked at the gentleman, smiled and said, "God knows it and I know it ".

Always Remember...

The desire to excel should be exclusive of the fact whether someone appreciatesit or not."Excellence is a drive from Inside not Outside."

Power of Four Words...

There was once a king who had a sun-dial in his garden. A sun-dial, as you know is a round slab of stone on which the sun casts its shadow thus telling the time of day. As an ornament to the sun-dial, the king commanded his court philosopher to make up an inscription which he could look at during any hour of the day and furthermore would mean the same whether the king should feel wonderfully happy of unutterably sad, something which would help him and comfort him.
As you can imagine, this was not easy to do. For what you might say about happiness, certainly would be hard to say about sadness and trouble. Do you know what the philosopher wrote?

Four words:
This too will pass
Yes, happiness on earth will pass to days of gray. That is true and while it does not comfort, it helps you prepare for those days. But so, alike, will your pain, your burden, your misfortune no matter what it is, it always has passed and it always will. This, too, will pass. And if you will remember this thought, you will find it wonderfully comforting.

Precious Lesson for Love...

There was once a lonely girl who longed desperately for love. One day while shewas walking in the woods she found two starving song birds. She took them homeand put them in a small gilded cage. She nurtured them with love and the birdsgrew strong. Every morning they greeted her with a marvelous song. The girl feltgreat love for the birds. She wanted their singing to last forever.
One day the girl left the door to the cage open. The larger and stronger of thetwo birds flew from the cage. The girl watched anxiously as he circled highabove her. She was so frightened that he would fly away and she would never seehim again that as he flew close, she grasped at him wildly. She caught him inher fist. She clutched him tightly within her hand. Her heart gladdened at hersuccess in capturing him.
Suddenly she felt the bird go limp. She opened herhand stared in horror at the dead bird. Her desperate clutching love had killed him.She noticed the other bird teetering on the edge of the cage. She could feel hisgreat need for freedom. His need to soar into the clear, blue sky. She lifted him from the cage and tossed him softly into the air.
The bird circled once, twice, three times. The girl watched delighted at the bird's enjoyment. Herheart was no longer concerned with her loss.
She wanted the bird to be happy. Suddenly the bird flew closer and landed softlyon her shoulder. It sang the sweetest melody, she had ever heard.
The fastest way to lose love is to hold on too tight, the best way to keep loveis to give it -- WINGS!
Cheers...

You Might Not Know...

Two travelling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem.
"The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.
"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn’t find it.
""Then last night as we slept in the farmer’s bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem.
"Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later...

POWER OF POSITIVE WORDS..

A group of frogs was travelling through the woods and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the unfortunate frogs they would never get out. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead.
Finally, one of the frogs took heed of what the other frogs were saying and simply give up. He fell down and died.
The other frog however continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. But to the surprise of one and all, he jumped even harder and finally did come out.
When he got out, the other frogs asked him, Why did you continue jumping? Didn't you hear us?
It was shocking for them to know that the frog was deaf and all the time he actually thought they were all encouraging him to get out. He did not want to disappoint them and therefore did not give up till the end.
It is sometimes hard to understand. An encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times.

Special is the individual who will take time to encourage another...

Few Good Quotations..

  • "If you have made mistakes, even serious mistakes, you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down"

  • "One man who has a mind and knows it,
can always beat ten men who haven't and don't."

  • What comes first, the compass or the clock? Before one can truly manage time (the clock), it is important to know where you are going, what your priorities and goals are, in which direction you are headed (the compass).
    Remember..
Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going. Rather than always focusing on what’s urgent, learn to focus on what is really important.

  • "Resolve to be a master of change rather than a victim of change."

  • "Difficulties increase the nearer we approach the goal."

  • "The harder the knocks you go through in life, the more you learn and put them to use in the future!Do not be discouraged by setbacks and failures...! They make you strong."

  • "Painful memories and emotions from the past must be allowed to surface into the light of consciousness in a spirit of unconditional love and acceptance. Only then will they gently and lovingly relax and dissolve."

  • "He is considered successful in our day who gets more out of life than he puts in. But a man of value will give more than he receives. "

  • "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails."

Intuit And Do It..

If doubt is challenging you and you do not act, doubts will grow. Challenge the doubts with action and you will grow. Doubt and action are incompatible.
To reap the greatest benefits from intuition, we need action. Be in motion. Act as if your highest expectations have already happened. Be in front of more opportunities and people. Let go of any blocks or attachments. Create mental space and physical space. Plan your work and work your plan.
Miracles rarely happen by doing nothing. Most miracles happen through other people.
What actions can you take that will move you towards your goals?
Never forget that life can only be nobly inspired and rightly lived if you take it bravely and gallantly, as a splendid adventure in which you are setting out into an unknown country, to meet many a joy, to find many a comrade, to win and lose many a battle.

NO PLACE FOR GOD...

A gentle and well respected old Negro one day decided that he would like to become a member of the church near his home. He called on the pastor of the old fashioned church and told him of his desire.
My dear man said the pastor with a touch of aloofness. I do not think you will be happy here though I appreciate your good intention. Really you would be most uncomfortable among my people and I am afraid it would be quite embarrassing to you and perhaps to them. I suggest you think it over and meditate and see if God does not give you some direction.
A week later, the old Negro met the pastor on the street, stopped him and said, Reverend, I took your advice and prayed and meditated and finally God sent me a message. He said I should not bother any more trying to join your church. He said that He hâd been trying to get in there Himself for years without success.

You may ask where i am now and how i can meet you now.
But I am within your heart and we can meet without any effort

MY HANDS, MY HEALTH, MY GOD..

A poor woman was abandoned by her husband and left with no visible means of support. When the case came up in court, the judge asked the wife: Madam, have you any means of support whatever?
Well, your honour, she answered, I have three, to tell the truth.
Three!
Yes, Sir.
What are they?asked the astonished judge.
My hands, my good health and my God, Your Honour, came back the reply.
The resourcefulness of this woman, her self-reliance, and her dependence upon God, can be a lesson to all of us. The old saying, God helps those who help themselves, is still valid. The strength we derive from our faith in God gives us the courage to have confidence in ourselves.

Great Service Is a Choice..

No one can make you serve customers well. That’s because great service is achoice. Years ago, my friend, Harvey Mackay, told me a wonderful story about acab driver that proved this point. He was waiting in line for a ride at theairport. When a cab pulled up, the first thing Harvey noticed was that the taxiwas polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, andfreshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car toopen the back passenger door for Harvey. He handed my friend a laminated cardand said:“I’m Wally, your driver. While I’m loading your bags in the trunk I’d like youto read my mission statement.”Taken aback, Harvey read the card. It said:Wally’s Mission Statement:To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapestway possible in a friendly environment. This blew Harvey away.
Especially when he noticed that the inside of the cabmatched the outside. Spotlessly clean! As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, “Would you like a cup of coffee? I havea thermos of regular and one of decaf.”My friend said jokingly, “No, I’d prefer a soft drink.”Wally smiled and said, “No problem.

I have a cooler up front with regular andDiet Coke, water and orange juice.”Almost stuttering, Harvey said, “I’ll take a Diet Coke.”Handing him his drink, Wally said, “If you’d like something to read, I have TheWall Street Journal, Time, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.”As they were pulling away, Wally handed my friend another laminated card. “Theseare the stations I get and the music they play, if you’d like to listen to theradio.”And as if that weren’t enough, Wally told Harvey that he had the airconditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him. Then headvised Harvey of the best route to his destination for that time of day. Healso let him know that he’d be happy to chat and tell him about some of thesights or, if Harvey preferred, to leave him with his own thoughts.“Tell me, Wally,” my amazed friend asked the driver, “have you always servedcustomers like this?”Wally smiled into the rearview mirror. “No, not always. In fact, it’s only beenin the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my timecomplaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard the personalgrowth guru, Wayne Dyer, on the radio one day. He had just written a book calledYou’ll See It When You Believe It. Dyer said that if you get up in the morningexpecting to have a bad day, you’ll rarely disappoint yourself. He said, ‘Stopcomplaining! Differentiate yourself from your competition. Don’t be a duck. Bean eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.’”“That hit me right between the eyes,” said Wally. “Dyer was really talking aboutme. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitudeand become an eagle.

I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. Thecabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. SoI decided to make some changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customersresponded well, I did more.”“I take it that has paid off for you,” Harvey said.“It sure has,” Wally replied. “My first year as an eagle, I doubled my incomefrom the previous year. This year I’ll probably quadruple it. You were lucky toget me today. I don’t sit at cabstands anymore.

My customers call me forappointments on my cell phone or leave a message on my answering machine. If Ican’t pick them up myself, I get a reliable cabbie friend to do it and I take apiece of the action.”Wally was phenomenal. He was running a limo service out of a Yellow Cab. I’veprobably told that story to more than fifty cab drivers over the years, and onlytwo took the idea and ran with it. Whenever I go to their cities, I give them acall. The rest of the drivers quacked like ducks and told me all the reasonsthey couldn’t do any of what I was suggesting.Johnny the Bagger and Wally the Cab Driver made a different choice. They decidedto stop quacking like ducks and start soaring like eagles.

How about you?

Push Yourself Forward..

Arrow goes forward only after pulling in to backward.
Bullet goes forward only after pressing the trigger backward.
Every human being will get happy.Only after facing the difficulties in their life path...

So do not be afraid to face your difficulties. They will push you forward...

Respond to life..

Respond with love to those who might otherwise annoy you, and suddenly the annoyance is gone. You'll both be better off.

Respond with patience to situations that might otherwise make you frustrated, and suddenly the frustration is gone. In its place will be energy for positive achievement.

Respond with understanding to things that might otherwise anger you, and the anger will dissolve. Instead of destructive rage, you'll see creative possibilities.

Respond with determination to events that might otherwise cause you dismay. You'll find yourself powerfully motivated to move positively forward.

Respond with enthusiasm to tasks you might otherwise find tedious. You'll find a way to create new and lasting value.

Respond to life as if each moment is a grand experience, filled with positive and unique possibilities. And that's just how it will be.

Big God, Big Ideas..

Two men went fishing. One was an experienced fisherman the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish he threw it back. The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing the man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?" he asked. The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throwback the big plans, big dreams, big jobs, big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small.

We laugh at that fisherman who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger frying pan, yet how ready are we to increase the size of our faith?Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give you anything bigger than you can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings our way.

REMEMBER:

Don't Tell God you've got big problems. Tell your problems you've got a BIG GOD!

Where You Take Life..

Over the same sea, on the same winds;A ship sails in one direction, another in opposite. It is not the wind that decides which direction the ship goes; Its the sails; how they are tied and how they are maneuvered.
Similarly, it is not fate that decides where your life is going; It is all about how you take life and where you take it to..

Being Strong..

The harder the knocks
you go through in life,
the more you learn
and put them to use
in the future!
Do not be discouraged
by setbacks and failures...!
They make you strong.....!

Ten Guidelines from God...

Effective immediately, please be aware that there are changes you need to make in your life. These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill my promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. Please, follow these 10 guidelines

1. Quit worrying: Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting Over every little thing that comes your way?

2. Put it on the list: Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not your list. Put it on my to-do-list. Let me be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to me. And although my to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care of anything you put into my hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

3. Trust me: Once you've given your burdens to me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on my list. Problem with finances? Put it on my list. Problems with your emotional roller coaster? For my sake, put it on my list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. Leave it alone: Don't wake up one morning and say, "well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." why do you think you are feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will be right back where you started? Leave them with me and forget about them. Just let me do my job.

5. Talk to me: I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in control. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't forget to talk to me - often! I love you! I want to hear your voice. I want you to include me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. Have faith: I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in me that I know what I'm doing. Trust me; you wouldn't want the view from my eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust me. Although I have a much h bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. Share: You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.

8. Be patient: I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes me a little longer than you expect to handle something on my to-do-list? Trust in my timing, for my timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, and rush.

9. Be kind: Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for my sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. Love yourself: As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a god of love. Love me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself. It makes my heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget that.

Sai Bless you..

Little Candle..

Once upon a time a little candle stood in a room filled with other candles, most of them much larger and much more beautiful than she was. Some were ornate and some were rather simple, like her. Some were white, some were blue, some were pink, and some were green. She had no idea why she was there, and the other candles made her feel rather small and insignificant.

When the sun went down and the room began to get dark, she noticed a large man walking toward her with a ball of fire on a stick. She suddenly realized that the man was going to set her on fire. "No, no!!" she cried, "Aaaaagghhh! Don't burn me, please!" But she knew that she could not be heard and prepared for the pain that would surely follow.

To her surprise, the room filled with light. She wondered where it came from since the man had extinguished his fire stick. To her delight, she realized that the light came from herself.

Then the man struck another fire stick and, one by one, lit the other candles in the room. Each one gave out the same light that she did.

During the next few hours, she noticed that, slowly, her wax began to flow. She became aware that she would soon die. With this realization came a sense of why she had been created. "Perhaps my purpose on earth is to give out light until I die," she mused. And that's exactly what she did. God created you and me to produce light in a dark world.

Like that little candle, we all can produce the same amount of light on this beautiful Thursday [Baba's Day], no matter how small we are or what color we might be. But we can't produce light until we receive it from an outside source. That source is God, the light of the world.
